ITT is pleased to introduce China Women’s Development Foundation (CWDF) as an ITT Watermark strategic partner. In order to expand support within China, ITT will partner with the CWDF, a non-governmental organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of women and children. Working with CWDF, ITT will provide eight rural schools with safe drinking water, new sanitation facilities and education on water safety, environmental protection and hygiene.

The CWDF was established in December 1988 and is a nation-wide non-profit, social welfare organization registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs and approved by People's Bank of China. China Women's Development Foundation, as an independent corporate legal representative, has been dedicated to improving women's overall quality, maintaining women's legal rights, promoting the development of women and women undertakings, and collecting funds and materials from the domestic and international enterprises and public sector undertakings, social organizations and individuals in over a decade.

ITT is pleased to introduce Water For People as an ITT Watermark strategic partner. The partnership includes a three-year, $1 million commitment to help provide safe water during emergencies created by natural catastrophies such as floods, droughts and earthquakes.

Through this new partnership, ITT, a global leader in the transport and treatment of water, will support Mercy Corps' relief and recovery efforts, which include the provision of dewatering and water purification equipment. In addition, ITT will aid Mercy Corps' on-the-ground staff with rebuilding and recovery of water and sanitation infrastructure long after disaster strikes. Mercy Corps, a global relief and development agency, collaborates with the United Nations to implement water and sanitation solutions during worldwide disasters.

ITT is pleased to introduce Water For People as an ITT Watermark strategic partner. In 2009, ITT will work with Water For People to bring safe water, sanitation and hygiene education to 40 schools in West Bengal, India; Quiche, Guatemala and Yoro, Honduras. ITT’s support will help build new local infrastructure to bring water and sanitation to remote schools, update existing systems in need of repair and assist in developing innovative hygiene education techniques.

Water For People is a highly respected nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people in the developing world by supporting the creation of locally sustainable drinking water resources, sanitation facilities and hygiene education programs. Their established process for accountability and due diligence will ensure our partnership has the greatest impact possible. ITT has worked with Water For People in the past and has witnessed the success of their best-practice approach and commitment to sustainability. We look forward to continuing to work with Water For People to accomplish the goals of ITT Watermark in 2009.
